I'm not finding a lot of reviews online. Santa said that I may receive a new speaker for Christmas and this is the one that has my interest. I already use a V30 in a 1x12 closed cab. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.Attachments

Click to expand...The creamback is 75 watts but the one I'm curious about is 30 watts. It's a greenback remake with a lead c/s cone. Cheers though. I have had a listen to the creambacks via YouTube and I still think I would prefer the greenback more

The weather conditions were also kind of nasty. 2nd time it was sort of meh.... More I played it more I liked it. Once the speaker broke in it was nice. If I had it to do over again I would have taken it home when I got it and plugged an I-pod into the amp then and played about 12 hours of tunes through it before taking it out.Chritty

The G12H(75) is neither a Creamback nor a Greenback. It is a different colour of green and is almost but not quite completely unlike a Greenback. It is the 75Hz version of the 55Hz G12H-30 aka G12H(55) Bass Guitar speaker that Jimi opted to load his Marshall stacks with, thereafter always a lead speaker. I have the Heritage G12H(55) It has the heavy (H) magnet also used on the Vintage30 which gives it punchy immediacy but without the tinniness and shrill voice at low sound volume. Obviously the 55Hz version has lower voicing to the 75Hz which means it doesn't flunk out on those bottom notes, do remember that the guitar itself is a bass register instrument with a range from 80Hz to 1050Hz. Another thing perhaps worth pointing out is that the Heritage G12H are probably Celestion's most expensive ceramic speakers, twice the price of a Greenback or Vintage30. If you want a Greenback, get a Greenback, the G12M-25 Greenback is a jolly good speaker in its own right. It's all those funny code numbers isn't it?Chritty

Thanks for the clarification Jefrs!! I wasn't after a greenback specifically. I actually know very little about speakers and this is my first real hard look into the speaker world. The Heritage 75Hz just happens to be the one that has stood out to my ears for the type of music I play.

They are assembled in USA, ship fast from the source and cost less... a true hidden gem in my eyes. My only go to speaker other than Webers.Chritty

I have three WGS Speakers, a Green Beret in a modified 1X12 convertible back Kustom Defender 112 Cab and a Retro 30 and a Reaper in a 2 X 12 closed back Seismic cab. Both cabs are use off and on with my Orange Micro Terror and my Vox Li'l Night Train N2H, depending on what type of tone I'm after. 70's rock gets the the Green Beret 112, more modern tones (80's & later) get's the 212. I also have five Webers. My most recent is an AlNiCo Blue Pup in a homemade 110 Pine board, Birch ply cab. This one gets most of my play time now, mostly with my LNT. It's a truly beautiful sounding speaker, from jangly cleans to crunchy rock, THE VOX SOUND! I have an AlNiCo Signature 8 in my 5F1 modded Champ 600, pure tweed Champ tones. I have an AlNiCo 10s in a Weber 110 cab, I play mostly with my Fender Greta. Sounds like a cross between a Tweed amp and a Black Face, not quite clean as the BF, not as mid heavy as a Tweed. I have an AlNiCo Sig 10 in a temporary cardboard box cab. I'll run it in parallel with the other 110 for 4Ω from my Champ, for bigger Tweed tones. Finally is a British Series 10VS w/ Hemp Cone. I had it in the homemade 110 cab, but it was still a bit too bright with the LNT, so I got the Blue Pup. The 10VS sounded beautifully warm and buttery smooth, with no muddiness with a Peavey Classic 30. Very Jazzy tone with this amp, when clean. Weber is currently experiencing supply issues with the Signature Series speakers, so they are out of stock on many of them. The Blue did take a month to ship, but it was worth the wait.
