Yes, that is a redox reaction. Carbon goes from a -4 state to a +4 state (oxidized). Oxygen goes from a 0 state to a -2 state (reduced).

Because the `H` attached with C in CH4 is getting separated. Whenever there is removal of H we term it as reduction .Also, O2 is being attached with the C which inturn is termed as oxidation.So, since oxidation and reduction both are taking place in this rxn. , it is a redox reaction.

Simultaneous oxidation and reduction is taking place in this reaction. Oxygen on reactant side is in zero state and goes to -2 in product side so reduction of oxygen occures.And Carbon in CH4 is in -4 goes to +4 so oxidation of carbon occures.
