At the beginning of last year, Daimler decided to paint the iconic Geländewagen in non-standard colors: yellow, green, orange, red and purple. The palette called Crazy Color Edition has been obstructed by orthodox fans of the model, who believe that the real "Gelik" can only be black or, in extreme cases, a brown-green camouflage color. Everything else is heresy and a deviation from the 100% male image of the model. Nevertheless, the "heliks" of the colors of the rainbow found their fans, and German tuners even came up with special revision programs for them.

For example, a well-known company from Bottrop developed the Brabus 700 on the basis of a yellow Mercedes-AMG G63. A unique Widestar body kit was made especially for it, playing on the contrast of yellow and black colors. Some of the black parts, like the air intake on the hood, are made of carbon. In addition, the body kit includes widened wheel arches, a roof spoiler, a bumper guard and understudy LED running lights in the front bumper. Huge wheels with 23-inch alloy wheels painted in matte black finish the exterior of the car.

The interior is lavishly adorned with carbon fiber trims and trimmed in Alcantara with yellow stitching. The engine under the hood is also a sight for sore eyes: the exhaust manifolds of the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 are "sewn" in gold, the power has been increased from the standard 571 to 700 hp, the torque has increased from 760 to 960 Nm. Thanks to modifications, the acceleration time was reduced from the standard 5.4 to 4.9 s. The electronic "leash" limiting the maximum speed has been shifted from 210 to 240 km / h.

The likelihood of seeing a yellow Brabus Geländewagen in Russia is close to zero - unless some VIP-taxi service buys it for courage, and even that one will probably prefer to tighten a black Gelik into a yellow film so that it can then be safely sold at any time.
