↑ Back to top Recommended Daily DoseThis is just an advisory number, if you prefer to use standard dosages in clinic you can disregard this number.
The recommended daily dose range is a calculation based on the raw dosages inputted and the number of herbs contained in your prescription. We have calculated it here to provide you with the most accurate information regarding your granule prescription. The range is to present the lower and higher end of the dosage scale. The high number is the calculated number however this number is sometimes higher than would be feasible (or palatable) for a patient, therefore the lower end of the range is often more appropriate.
For the numbers people the advisory dosage is the result of dividing the raw dosage by the ratio for each herb and adding these together to find the equivalent granule dosage. Therefore the number changes depending on the raw dosage inputted and the number of herbs in the prescription. (For e.g a script with 10 herbs all with the ratio 5:1 and raw dosages of 10g would yield a recommended daily dose of 2g granules per herb or 20g.”
CLOSE Total Amount of Granules RequiredTo use multiply your regular standard dose per day by the number of days required, and input the total in the field or if you would like to use the ‘Recommended Daily Dose’ advisory number multiply that dosage by the number of days needed. For example for a dosage of 9g per day for 10 days you would enter ’90’ in the ‘Total Amount of Granules Required’ field.
