About us

Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society operates 9 TCM clinics and provides pro bono traditional Chinese treatment and medication to the needy. It also offers other charitable services such as bursary awards for students, medical escort and transport, befriending with the elderly, etc. In October 2012, Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society set up the Afterlife Memorial Service which provides free funeral and bereavement services to those who require the service, regardless of race and religion.

  Last Sunday, we proudly held our Annual CHWSS Bursary Awards 2026 at MacPherson Community Club. We were deeply honoured to have our Guest of Honour, Ms Tin Pei Ling (陈佩玲), Member of Parliament for Marine Parade–Braddell Heights GRC (MacPherson), grace the occasion. Together with our invited guests, we celebrated the achievements of more than 340 outstanding students from Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary institutions. This bursary recognises not only academic accomplishments, but also the perseverance, resilience, and dedication each student has demonstrated throughout their educational journey. We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our donors for their generous support and contributions to our Bursary Awards every year, as well as to our volunteers whose dedication and hard work made this meaningful event possible. Once again, congratulations to all our awardees. May this bursary continue to encourage and inspire you to pursue your dreams with confidence and determination.

  Great News! We’re excited to announce an additional award category for our Bursary Awards 2026! Cheng Hong Siang Tng (CHST) shares our belief in empowering the younger generation through education. This year, CHST is introducing a University Bursary to support full-time local and PR university students who are in need of financial assistance. This bursary aims to ease the burden of education expenses and encourage students to strive for academic excellence while giving back to the community.
