About us

Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society operates 9 TCM clinics and provides pro bono traditional Chinese treatment and medication to the needy. It also offers other charitable services such as bursary awards for students, medical escort and transport, befriending with the elderly, etc. In October 2012, Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society set up the Afterlife Memorial Service which provides free funeral and bereavement services to those who require the service, regardless of race and religion.

  Great News! We’re excited to announce an additional award category for our Bursary Awards 2026! Cheng Hong Siang Tng (CHST) shares our belief in empowering the younger generation through education. This year, CHST is introducing a University Bursary to support full-time local and PR university students who are in need of financial assistance. This bursary aims to ease the burden of education expenses and encourage students to strive for academic excellence while giving back to the community.   Despite the drizzly weather, the spirit of giving shone brightly at the 53rd Keppel Charity Golf Tournament 2025, where an incredible $1.5 million was raised in support of 17 charities. We are deeply honoured to be part of the Keppel Charity Golf for the very first time, and extend our heartfelt thanks to The Keppel Club for giving us the opportunity to showcase our work and serve as one of the adopted beneficiaries. As part of this meaningful event, CHWSS received a cheque of $88,000, presented to Mr Chin Chee Hwa, Vice Chairman of CHWSS, by Mr Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance. 🙏 Thank you, Keppel Club, for your generosity and commitment to uplifting lives. Together, we bring care, dignity, and hope to the vulnerable in our community. 💜

  Yesterday, despite the morning rain, CHWSS Flag Day was a wonderful success! ✨ We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our Donors, Volunteers, and Partner Organisations for making this possible. Our amazing volunteers took to the streets as tin bearers, braving the weather with smiles and determination to raise funds for our cause. Their dedication, along with the generosity of the public who stopped to contribute, made this Flag Day truly meaningful. Every dollar collected will go directly towards sustaining Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society’s programmes and services, from caring for our elderly, to supporting the underprivileged, and ensuring dignity and compassion for those in need. To each member of the public who donated and supported us — thank you for helping us make a real difference in the lives of many. ❤️ Together, we continue to bring care, love, and hope to our community.
