About Cheng Xiao

Cheng Xiao is a Chinese singer, dancer, and actress formerly under Yue Hua Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl group WJSN and the project groups Y TEEN and Sunny Girls.

Cheng Xiao debuted as a member of WJSN on February 25, 2016, with the mini album "WOULD YOU LIKE?". In the group's concept, she represented the Cancer sign. On March 3, 2023, after five years of inactivity with the group, it was announced that Cheng Xiao didn't renew her contract with Starship Entertainment and would officially leave WJSN to pursue solo activities in China.

The same year as her debut, she also took part in the project group Y TEEN, which was composed of the seven MONSTA X members, as well as seven WJSN members, and debuted on August 6, 2016, with the single "Do Better". She was also a member of Inkigayo's Music Crush project Sunny Girls, with whom she released the song 'TAXI' on November 27, 2016.

Cheng Xiao didn't gain popularity, however, until she competed and won gold in ISAC (Idol Championship) in their Rhythmic Gymnastics segment as well as being proclaimed the first Pitch King. She would then go on to join variety shows both in Korea and China.

In 2018, Cheng Xiao went back to China to be a dance mentor on the music survival show, Idol Producer. She slowly transitioned to become an actress with her first drama projects "Legend of Awakening" and "Detective Chinatown", which were both released in 2020, and continued her acting career with the 2021 hit esports drama "Falling Into Your Smile".

Cheng Xiao then made her Chinese solo debut on December 28, 2020, with the digital single "Focus-X".
