I hope I can do a test drive with this model soon. I am highly interested in how it feels to drive, cause the manual option is easily 38k here in Germany. And I'm not going that far for a base C6

Also, the 2008 C6 Vette is actually FASTER zero to 60 when you put it in DRIVE instead of using the paddle shifters...

As a 7 year owner of a 2008 C6 Vette I can confirm that you can get 25 MPG doing 109 MPH for an over 1 hour trip on the highway :) Now that's fuel efficiency for ya...and that's in 5th gear by the way, not 6th...

Personally I believe this one should be named "Corvette C6 LS3 Coupe" so people are more easy to find this one.With that out of the way, I believe this is the best bargain Corvette you can buy. It's not just faster than any previous Corvette (aside from the C6 Z06) but also fast in every department. On a track, in acceleration, top speed, and even can be tuned without any issues. After all, GM kept the displacement and the base for the ZR1 for a reason.

Fifty thousand? I got mine for $45k out the door, with the Z51 option, track wheels, and dual mode exhaust. I've had mine for a year and think it's awesome

430 hp? 6.2? this engine isn't even breathing heavy. one can get an extra 100 hp with a warm cam, ported throttle body, better air flow and an aftermarket exhaust very inexpensive actually. the torque explosive

wow the normal 6.0L corvette c6 05-07 with exposed headlights was really good and was availible with a z51 handalling package and you can get as a convertable.but know they updated the c6 generation corvette to a 6.2L 08 c6 thats more fuel efficiet and more user friendly and know i have heard somewhere you can get one paddle shifts the c6 6.2L 08 vette model also comes with a z51 handalling package and you can get one as a convertable the corvette c6 6.2L 08 still costs around 50000USD i think this new 08 6.2 vette can compete withn the new updated porsche 911 997 carresra s facelift 09 teir both practical and very user friendly.

from what i have heard the corvette c6 6.2 gm says it is fuel effient for a 6.2L Ls3 v8 and does 26mpg on the highway and somwhere around 15mpg on normal driving

the normalo basre corvette c6 6.2 is eqivilent to the porsche 911 997 carrera (997facelift) both will get you from 0-60mph in the low 4secs and will almost top 190mph and they can lap the nurburgring in just under 8mins then again if you bought a corvette c6 6.2 with a z51 handling package it would match the porsche 911 997 carrera s performance there both in a closeley similer price range the corvette c6 6.2 costs 50 000 usd and the porsche 911 997 carrera would cost somewher round 75 000 usd

i dont see the problem with the every day road use of a zo6, its fine with me. dont know bout the zr1 thoug but i have herd it has a much better ride than a zo6.

the corvette z06 and corvette zr1 are road legal but there only designed for track use i prefer the zr1 and the z06 but i would prefer to have a normal coupe model of the corvette c6 6.2 because it would be more user friendly and more fuel eficient and it only coasts some wher around 50 000 USD
