Chippenham Hospital’s x-ray service has undergone major refurbishment, including the installation of a Philips x-ray suite featuring a Bucky Diagnost TH.

This has improved the diagnostic services available to the community and surrounding areas, with a wider range of x-ray examinations, enabling patients to be treated closer to home.

Rachael Hilton, ED superintendent radiographer for Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer patients a more modern and comfortable environment to suit their needs.  The revamp of the x-ray service means that we can ensure patients in the local area have access to and receive the best treatment possible.  We chose the Philips Bucky Diagnost system because it is easy to use, adaptable and versatile.  It has enabled x-ray services to expand as many more examinations that can be performed.”
