Apr 15, 2014 305 0 10,810 im looking forward to buy a graphic card and im down to these cards.gtx 970 and 1050 ti..some suggested to buy 1050 ti since its new..but im more into a gtx 970 since it performs better even today.but i heard that it has a memory allocation problem and when utilizing more that 3.5 gbs the card performance become weaker.i watched some benchmarks in which the games bench marked used vram under 3.5 gigs.will i be able to play upcoming games that require more than 3.5gb of vram without any issue if i go with the gtx 970?what do u guys suggest. please help me..thanks in advance... Solution The 970 is a higher level of card, they are not the same. The one thing that might make you choose the 1050 Ti is that it uses less power, if you have a weak PSU. That memory allocation thing was a technical/marketing issue, it should not impact your decision here and now. Look at something like Resident Evil 7 which uses lots of vram, the 970 doesn't suffer any extra issues. Sort by date Sort by votes Gam3r01

Jan 12, 2013 25,412 973 115,440 The 970 is around 40% faster than a 1050Ti, I dont know who is telling you to get the 1050Ti but it is by no means a better card. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1050_Ti_Gaming_X/27.html What budget are you working with? Upvote 1 Downvote D

Jan 12, 2013 25,412 973 115,440 For 250 bucks get a 1060 6GB and outperform even a 980. That will be a great investment. http://pcpartpicker.com/product/KqRFf7/evga-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-ssc-gaming-video-card-06g-p4-6264-kr Upvote 1 Downvote yakamaster

Nov 3, 2009 5,611 164 28,990 +yakamaster That's an interesting dilemma. The GTX 970 is the better card. The GTX 1050 Ti is equivalent to a GTX 960. What is your budget? Because unless you're getting a fantastic deal, GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 480, would be a much smarter purchase. In addition to your budget, could you please list your full specs, including your power supply's manufacturer and model number? Upvote 1 Downvote yakamaster

Of cource, thats literaly what i meant, the 1060 3gb is what i settled for my gpu, cus its better than both 960 rx 460, rx 470 (depends). When i asked a mod, he said i can get the rx 470 which is cheaper, but a bit worse. Its the mods that should give you advice to be honest, scince they are the most expirenced.
