The pervious concrete is an ecological material which has many advantages such as control rainwater runoff, reduce environmental pollution, allow the natural recharge of the groundwater, filter out contaminants in waters. The available research on its flexural behavior is limited compared to compressive strength and porosity, permeability. In this paper, we propose a new numerical model to evaluate the flexural behavior of pervious concrete at mesoscale level. The fracture behavior of pervious concrete is simulated using the phase field method. This approach can simulate complex crack paths such as crack branching, crack coalescence. The mesostructure of pervious concrete is constructed using the new generated algorithm method. Aggregate is assumed to have an elliptical form. Numerical results agree fairly well with experimental results in terms of load -crack mouth opening displacement and fracture pattern. On the other hand, it is also shown that the shape of aggregate affect the flexural behavior of pervious concrete.
