*** HELP!!!! ANYONE ELSE HAVE MAJOR HYDRAULIC PRESSURE PROBLEMS IN THEIR 6-speed TDI?? *** My 6-speed 2010 VW Jetta TDI has been nothing but problems since I purchased the car in March, 2010. I have yet to go more than 28k miles without losing pressure in the clutch pedal. I have had 4 replacement clutch master cylinders, 2 replacement clutch slave cylinders, and 2 replacement lines between the master and slave cylinders put in the car. The car is in the shop yet again, and most certainly will be getting a 5th replacement master cylinder. I am hoping that is it. The dealer has been of no help on this matter. Does anyone know what the root cause might be? Or has anyone been able to resolve the issue with some aftermarket parts? This car has been great other than these clutch pressure problems. I am teetering on getting rid of the car and would hate to do so if there is some known resolution out there. Thanks in advance for any responses! #1 · May 29, 2014 *** HELP!!!! If so, I'm impressed they're covering it. Check what the lemon laws in your state are...good excuse for a new car. The clutch system is only a few parts, the master cylinder, line to the slave cylinder, and the slave cylinder. Seeing how they replaced all these items multiple times, I have no clue what the problem could possibly be. Is it possible they are forgetting to tighten the clutch pedal and it's working loose and being misdiagnosed? Is the brake fluid clean and not full of metal bits? Should be light yellow or tan but clear. Only other possible cause I could think of is that the wrong brake fluid was used and it damaged the seals, and is still floating in there. You have to run the ABS pump to flush that out if changing the brake fluid. If it's clean I don't bother. Insert Quotes Post Reply
