The Child Neurologist Career Development Program (CNCDP) and the Child Neurology Society are pleased to invite applications for the 2021 Minority Research Scholars Program.

This program awards travel scholarships to early career individuals who are underrepresented in the health sciences and who are pursuing clinically-relevant basic or patient-oriented research. Awardees have the opportunity to attend the CNCDP-K12 annual scientific retreat and 50th Annual Child Neurology Society Meeting.

During the scientific retreat, attendees will meet with NINDS staff to learn more about targeted funding initiatives to support the success of underrepresented scientists, engage in sessions on oral scientific communication and grant writing, and network with a cohort of peers and faculty mentors.

Selected recipients receive travel support and waived registration for all program events. If an in-person program does not take place due coronavirus pandemic restrictions, we will transition to a hybrid or completely virtual program. This year’s program will take place in late September 2021, beginning prior to the Child Neurology Society Meeting (final dates to-be-announced).
