102 #1 30 Nov 2020, 03:50 Anyone have any experience good or bad with CNHL lipos? In particular I'm looking at their 1300mah 4S Black Series lipos. I know there's a video out there saying some 6S CNHLs weren't living up to their mah ratings. But other than that, I'm more worried about them catching on fire or failing midflight. I pretty much just stick with Tattu / Gens Ace and GNBs for tiny whoops.

12 #2 30 Nov 2020, 04:31 I use them and they are fine. They do not explode

. I actually rate them highly mainly as I can almost buy two of them for the price of a Tattu and have yet to have one go bad plus get the same flight times as I do out of my Rebel batteries which are almost triple the price. FYI there are still some buy 1 get 1 free batteries available. I think the 4s 1500mah is still available. Also have a look at the packs of 4, I think they work out cheaper. Also they take a lot of damage and still work. This ones cells all measure the same and charges/discharges perfectly. Had about 30 charges since it got splatted against a tree and went flying. Can't fault it.

Note: I am not one of these omg I have a ding in the battery throw it out people. I am more of a wow that is a big fire guess that one is stuffed and throw out the pieces but I do charge and store sus batteries in a safe place just in case. Meh I take calculated risks

102 #3 30 Nov 2020, 04:45 Thanks UJ. Amazon has em on cyber monday sale for prime members. It's like 20 bucks for 2x 1300mah 4S black series lol. I'm gonna go ask what people use for their 3 inch cine whoops and likely pick up a couple. ... and yea, I am one of those that if there is so much as a blade of grass stuck under the lipo shrink wrap, I will carefully take it to Best Buy battery recycling LOL.

12 #4 30 Nov 2020, 04:52 All of my batteries are a bit damaged. I crash a lot what can I say hence why I wrap them in pvc and tape lol Have a look at the CHNL Ministars. They are better than the blacks and the 4s 1300mah are on special atm. https://chinahobbyline.com/shop/detail/194 Check the prices buying direct. They have a warehouses all over the place and only take a week max to deliver. In Aus they get delivered in 4 days.

102 #5 30 Nov 2020, 07:09 (This post was last modified: 30 Nov 2020, 07:10 by the.ronin.) Thanks again UJ. I ended up getting 2-pack of the black series 1300mah 4S. Amazon special is really good. And they get here Wednesday. I also like that they are black lol. Also I made a mistake - the video actually says they have *more* mah than what they rate them at.

49 #6 30 Nov 2020, 10:00 A student of mine at work uses the black series, same spec I think, 4s 1300mah. On a hot day they worked well, got hot but still delivered the good and he also states you can capacity charge a bit more that what the label says. The ministar is a good range too. The OG orange ones are a bit big in comparison to other brands batts of the same capacity. That’s a good like UJ for the direct ship option. 4 days to straya is awesome.

10 #8 30 Nov 2020, 11:12 I got the blackline 6S 1100mah and they are a bit heavy but perform well. I have not compared them to other packs but for that price they are great. I can get 2 CNHL for the price of 1 GNB or Tattu so that is really hard to beat. Tattu might be much better but they are still more expensive so if you compare to other manufacturers you have to weigh in price in that calculation.

0 #9 11 Dec 2020, 23:13 Hi, yea i was flying the black series packs with Ph2t i have found that you can overcharge with no issues but the backs out of the box did not give me as much of flight time as my white cnhl packs (forgot the series) but they do deliver the power very well

my buddies couldnt use them for much cycles, time will probably give relativity to the "half price"

10 #11 12 Dec 2020, 14:30 Yeah that is probably true, my 3S toothpick batteries really suck after one year. My 6S have been in storage the last few months and we will see how they hold up next year
