Abstract:In this work, the physico-chemical behaviour of some ternary systems composed of water, dioxan and methanol in temperatures included between 15-35 °C has been studied. The study was carried out by measuring the dielectric constant, the coefficient of the viscosity, the density and the refractive index of all the systems examined. This study leads lo the conclusion that the complexes C4H8O2.3 H2O and CH3OH.2 H2O formed in the binary systems H2O-dioxan, H2O — MeOH, are formed in the ternary systems as well. By the experimental data is has been shown that among the above complexes, neither a short distance force nor an association phenomenon exists.
