How to Play Online in MultiVersus

The default mode in MultiVersus is online, however, other problems might be present such as not being able to play cross-platform with a friend, or being unable to go online because of age restrictions. All of these problems are addressed in this guide.

If you accidentally selected the incorrect age in the MultiVersus age choice, chances are that you'll have online mode disabled for you and you'd be stuck in its offline mode. You can fix your age in MultiVersus and get online, but it will mean a bit of a reset.

The easiest way to change your age in the game is to manually delete the save file in your App Data and then re-run the game. MultiVersus is an online platform fighting game with characters from the Warner Bros. Franchise. You will lose your save data by doing this, though.

Here are the steps broken down:

Open File Explorer
Make sure you checked "Hidden Items" under "View" at the File Explorer's toolbar.
Click Local Disk (C:) at the left side of the window under "This PC"
Click on Users
Click on win10
Click on AppData
Click on Local
Look for the MultiVersus Folder
Click on Saved
Then SaveGames
Then delete "firstlaunch_save.sav"
Re-run the game and you should be able to select your age again.

To enable cross-platform matchmaking in MultiVersus, simply head on to the settings and click Online/Legal, then scroll to the bottom of the page and you should be able to see the cross-platform matchmaking option. Make sure this is enabled and you should be good to go.

How to 1v1 With Your Friends

If you're planning to play against your friends online, you first want to create a room. Simply click "Custom Game" at the game's home screen and you'd be sent into a lobby where you can tweak the game mode, the amount of ringouts before a player wins, the maps, and everything else. After that, you can invite your friend by simply clicking the pluses on the boxes separated by teams.

Make sure you've added them as a friend. If you haven't, simply head to the social tab and you can add them there.

Is There Voice Chat in MultiVersus?

Unfortunately, there's no voice chat in MultiVersus. In fact, the only thing you can use to communicate with your teammate or opponents is by using taunts or emotes.
