Almost perfect! – I bought this to replace a Philips air fryer, due to the fact Philips made it near on impossible to clean splatters behind the element and I'd had enough of it smoking from grease you couldn't remove. I got rid of it and bought this Delonghi product instead. Well this Delonghi Multifry has a removable clear lid AND you can unscrew the element… Read more

cover to scrub it! That's a real win there, as is the lid being hinged! I prefer benchtop cookers to using a big oven as for one person it doesn't make sense to waste electricity heating such a large oven for just one chop. I mainly use this Multifry for meat or fish which it does really well, have tried wedges but the paddle tends to bunch up the wedges so I took it out and just turn the wedges myself. The paddle works well for stirfry, which is about all I use the paddle for - I prefer just to leave it out most of the time. Having a top and bottom element is a substantial bonus, I bought the rack separately to put meat on which keeps food up and out of any fat that drips off and it cooks well on both sides without turning when using the rack. Yet to try a cake, will wait until the flat bottomed pan arrives which I have since ordered from a local kitchenware parts supply store. Overall I'm happy with the Delonghi product, it's simple to use, it cooks food and it's EASY to clean!

Love Delonghi, I don't love this product – bought this after my 'el cheapo' of many years died. I looked forward to the additional features like baking cakes, single serve fish etc. Boy was I disappointed. The spindle in the bowl means you can't pour cake batter directly into the bowl unless you enjoy holes in your cakes. Use a cake tin and you risk scratching the delonghi bowl. Fish on… Read more

baking paper, forget it. Paper gets torn, fish gets mangled. User above has the right suggestion, the inclusion of a low rack would have made a world of difference. when this dies I'll get a bench top oven instead.

Poor quality manufacture – The food produced in this fryer is fantastic, I especially like the menus in the app. We cook chips, pizza, baked potatoes, and lots more. Unfortunately, for a expensive product, it is poorly manufactured. The non stick surface on the pan started flaking after 9 months, and is almost non existent after now owning after one year. The air fryer has… Read more

a "paddle" that rotates and turns chips, which is what makes the chips that this fryer cooks, absolutely cooked to perfection. We have had to replace this "paddle" twice in 12 months of ownership, at a cost of $45 each time. The paddle is poorly designed and breaks easily. The retailer wouldn't replace these under warrantee as they said its a "consumable" item. This is certainly not a $400 fryer. If you can buy it for $100, its probably worth it.

Recipes need work, and so does the product – Bought this primarily to replace a Tefal Actifry that could only produce chips (french fries) that were wilting and soggy. After a review here, I had high hopes. Tried it three times in a week. Chips produced were wilting and soggy. The oil recommendation was always peanut oil - which we used - but that tends to taint the food with a peanut… Read more

taste, which my wife dislikes. I also tried some roast potatoes - picture in the recipe book (online only, or a mobile app. What the heck?) was of some good-looking spuds. Directions... "cut into cubes 1cm on each side...". Ended up making paprika wedges (of a sort). Wilting and soggy.

I had hoped to also replace a pizza oven and (maybe) a small benchtop overn. But principal role was to make low-fat chips. That's why I bought it, and as it couldn't do that, out it went. Have to admit to admiring the tech in the product - it's nicely put together and quieter than the Tefal. But ... it didn't do the job for me.

I returned the item within a week - and kudos to Harvey Norman for not having a problem with that.
