Diệc lửa là loài chim có kích thước lớn. Chim có đỉnh trán và đỉnh đầu màu đen với sọc tối màu xuống đến phần sau của cổ và một bộ lông đặc trưng màu nâu đỏ đậm.

Description:

Purple heron is large size bird (about 85 cm). It has black forehead and the crown with a dark stripe down the back of the neck, and distinctive darker reddish-brown plumage.
