Mar 21, 2012 851 0 11,060 Hey community, I have pretty much some knowledge about SSDs. But recently i see some SSDs that is 7mm, and some are 9.5mm. What is the difference? Which size SSDs will fit on a desktop, and which size SSDs will fit on a laptop? Thanks. Solution ipwn3r456 : So, i am guessing that 9mm SSDs is for desktops are 2.5" to 2.5" adapters, and also for standard laptops? 7mm SSDs is for netbooks or ultrabooks? Correct. Is there 7mm SSD 2.5" adapters for desktops? Yes. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817986005 Sort by date Sort by votes Dereck47
