Dim Sum Pushcarts, Buffets & More - Sassy Mama Singapore
Find the best dim sum in Singapore in this 2024 dim sum guide – whether you’re in the mood for a dim sum buffet, dim sum high tea, pushcarts/trolleys or even dim sum for dinner!
Where can you find the best dim sum in Singapore? Whether you are looking for dim sum pushcarts/yum cha trolleys, dim sum buffets, or places that offer dim sum at dinner (as opposed to the more traditional lunch dim sum), we round up all the best dim sum in Singapore, with Michelin-starred dim sum on one end of the scale to the most affordable dim sum in Singapore. Do note many F&Bs now offer dim sum delivery so if you have a favourite dim sum restaurant, check their website to see if you can order a dumpling delivery.
To be fair, what constitutes the best dim sum in Singapore is really subjective. You may want traditional dim sum offerings, or perhaps it’s the ambience that matters most to you. Only a few restaurants have dim sum pushcarts in Singapore, so maybe you’re looking for one of these experiences.
As for finding the most kid-friendly dim sum in Singapore, we find that a tough one! Kids generally love dim sum (har gau and xiao long bao are both winners). While some places have special yum cha treats for kiddies, even the poshest restaurants will accommodate well-behaved kids.
Whatever dim sum you are craving, we cover all the options in our ultimate dim sum in Singapore guide! If you just want a restaurant where your kids can play while you enjoy your meal, be sure to check out our guide to the best kid-friendly restaurants and cafés with playgrounds.
Tim Sum vs Dim Sum vs Yum Cha
Some say dim sum, others tim sum (it sounds the same when you say it out loud) while others call it yum cha. It’s essentially all one and the same–small portions of steamed or fried dumplings or small dishes that are traditionally served with Chinese tea.
