The Direxion Torqueable Microcatheter is the world’s first nitinol microcatheter, featuring incredible torque response and four tip shapes for precise control during embolization procedures. The Direxion Torqueable Microcatheter has four unique layers, from its polymer layers of PTFE and PEBAX to its support layers of polyethylene and the outer nitinol hypotube. Direxion HI-FLO, the 0.027" size designated by the yellow tip, with a J Shape pre-shaped tip configuration. The Direxion Torqueable Microcatheter is available in four pre-shaped tip options: Straight, Bern, J Shape and Swan Shape. Please be sure to remove the shaping mandrel, as shown above, prior to use.

With Direxion’s best-in-class torque response and high-pressure flow rates, now with improved tip shapes and hydrophilic coating, you can reposition the microcatheter tip without a guidewire and obtain clear imaging with power injections up to 1200 psi.

Product Details

  • Slotted nitinol technology similar to the Fathom™-16 Guidewire
  • Stiffness profile is changed by increasing or decreasing the distance between the laser cuts
  • Catheter flexibility profile is designed with a soft distal tip to aid in trackability and stiffer proximal end to assist with pushability
  • Each microcatheter has 10,000+ laser cuts
The Direxion Microcatheter is available in six tip configurations, as shown below. The distal tip is available in four pre-shaped options: Straight, Bern Shape, J Shape, and Swan Shape. These shapes are designed to facilitate access to the most challenging anatomy. Direxion Microcatheters are also available with two radiopaque markers, 2RO, which is designed to aid in the delivery of detachable embolic coils during embolization procedures.
