Do jbc C210 and C245 use same thermocouple
« on: May 25, 2020, 09:53:13 pm » I’m looking to buy a JBC clone station but want to know if I can use the smaller C210 tips.The clone station only have single 24v output, where as the original can switch to 12v for the c210 cartridges.Does anyone know if they use the same thermocouples between the two cartridges, if so that would make converting the clone to the lower voltage easier. « Reply #1 on: May 25, 2020, 10:25:42 pm » Both have different wiring. One has a short between 2 pins to differentiate between the 2. One has the thermocouple in series, while the c210 has not. « Reply #2 on: May 25, 2020, 11:25:47 pm » Some clone stations support it some do not.Either search for info on that specific clone, or post the details of the model here.I think the jabe does not:https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/jabe-ud-1200-soldering-station-nice-jbc-clone/I think you'd be better off finding something that supports it or building your own. Modifying the clone means you'd have to reverse engineer it to do it properly. Logged Profile -> Modify profile -> Look and Layout -> Don't show users' signatures
