Hello Chamroeun, I don’t quite understand – change the name of what folder? What is the “corner latter”? The letters in the corner next to the clock? Take a look at the tutorial on installing Khmer Unicode on Windows XP and see if it helps with your problems – also take a look at the comments there. https://sbbic.org/2010/03/27/how-to-install-khmer-unicode-on-your-windows-xp-computer If you still have trouble, let us know.

You can zoom-in to a website using your browser. Or if you are in Windows 7, follow the instructions here to use another font (you can choose whatever font you want to use) as the default system font. https://sbbic.org/lang/en-us/2010/07/15/how-to-install-khmer-unicode-on-windows-7

Some of the fonts are not correctly packaged by their creators. I would recommend using the Google Font API for your website and choose a font that is available there – all of them will work (it’s what we use): https://www.google.com/fonts#ChoosePlace:select/Script:khmer

Okay, now I have corrected the keyboard problem (#2 in my previous comment). The solution was to open your Keyboard Layout folder and copy the FILES inside, not the FOLDER into the Mac Library, Keyboard Layouts folder. Now I can type Unicode again! Yea! ខ្ងុំសប្បាណាស់ Is this font displaying correctly for you? For me, on my screen (Firefox browser) the vowels are not joined with the consonants. How can I fix this?

In Photoshop you need at least CS4 and above. Also try using Khmer fonts that start with “Kh” (like Kh Battambang).

        • Nathan Wells January 6, 2015 4:53 pm

It has to do with how the font was made. Photoshop needs certain data from the fonts to work, and some of the Khmer fonts don’t have that.

Hello Mr. Rath Mam, I don’t know Mr. Divon Lan, but if you know him I would love to be introduced. Windows 8 has a few Khmer fonts installed, but they are a bit hard to read and as far as I know there is no way change the font of menu titles and such in Windows 8 (this used to work in Windows 7). You can install Khmer fonts to use in programs, but I assume you have those already: https://sbbic.org/2014/06/25/download-all-khmer-unicode-fonts/

Newer fonts corrected an error the the writing of the word “email” in Khmer but “Eat” should work as you are requesting. If you are on a PC and are using the SBBIC keyboard ( https://sbbic.org/2010/07/07/khmer-unicode-keyboard-64-bit-and-32-bit-windows-mac-os-installer/ ) type S + / + I

Mac supports Khmer Unicode – but some of the Unicode fonts for Khmer are not designed for Mac. Also some Mac Apps don’t support Khmer Unicode. If you use the Khmer Mondulkiri font or fonts that start with “KH” they should work fine in most apps.
