Dr. Volkan B. Guzel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Guzel specializes in General Orthopedics.

Fluent in Turkish, Dr. Güzel treats patients of all ages. His special interests include shoulders and knees, anterior hip replacements, sports injuries, arthritis and disorders of the shoulder, hip or knee. He is a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association, the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, Arthritis Foundation and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Güzel lives in Pearland with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing volleyball, basketball, tennis and soccer as well as scuba diving, cycling, and fishing.
