Duy is a Research Associate on ABPDU’s Fermentation and Recovery team. Prior to joining the team, he was an undergraduate student and a research assistant at California State University, East Bay, where he did research for the Gallegos’ Lab. His research focused on neurodevelopment of C. elegans, especially gene expressions in the autophagy pathway. Duy’s main work included genotyping the genes in this pathway and theorizing how they would function as orthologs in humans. He held a Lab Technician position at Pivot Bio in the past before transferring to California State University, East Bay, where he helped establish safety workshops and promoted good lab practice for new researchers.
