I started off using Echo about 10 years ago ! I have always used a premix so I could keep all the junk (ethanol) out of fuel system ! I have had NO issues of any kind since new ! I have taken air filter out and blew it out ! That is all I have done besides keep my Echo implements clean ! Ten years and no spark plugs or air filters or parts of any kind to any of my Echo implements ! Still has all original parts since I bought everything ! They all start up quick even after fuel being left in tank during the winter months ! I did have a cheap green hedge trimmer that had troubles with it after 2 seasons of use ! The hedge trimmer looks brand new but needs repair ! I would have to spend as much as I paid for it new ! I bought it thinking that the amount of hedges to trim all I will need is a cheaper hedge trimmer ! Now I have a Echo that should last me for years to come !

Well Balanced - Easy On The Arms
I had the predecessor to this trimmer for about 25 years before it was stolen. It was bullet proof so I ordered this one to replace it. It looks very similar in design, I am just hoping it is as reliable and holds up as well.

Well built and powerful. Blade is much longer than I thought, does an excellent pruning job. Grease the rotating assembly and spray some lube on the blades to help them wear in. I would recommend this tool.

Lightweight and easy to start. I have other Echo equipment and this unit is well made and should last a long time. Just keep the blades lubed and use at least 89 octane gas with quality 2 cycle oil and go!

The Echo HC-2020 Double Sided Gad Hedge Trimmer is an excellent piece if equipment. I was able to trim my hedges in record time. It provides precise trimming of all the many hedges I usually have to trim and have been trimming for over 30 years until I injured my thumb for stretching out to far. Do not try this as a thumb injury is very difficult to heal.
