While I'm new to the RNS510 myself, it does seem to have some gremlins in it. Best bet would to see if it has the latest firmware version of it. Someone on here may chime in and share how to do a reset of it (could be in manual) as I do not know how to do it. Dealer may be able to walk you through the process too as it is pretty simple. Good luck and keep us posted... #3 · Mar 11, 2013 Is 3690 the latest version for the rns510? 0 Reply #4 · Mar 11, 2013 369x is the latest FW for NAR RNS-510. Reset is in order! Top right two and top left two buttons... Hold all four 15-30 secs, unit will reboot and hopefully your greyed out buttons will be back! #5 · Mar 11, 2013 It didn't work i tried that! 0 Reply #6 · Mar 11, 2013 A list? Hi, maybe a list of your actions so far:- When I lost sound a few weeks ago, I exited the vehicle and set the immobilizer. After waiting about 10minutes I went thro' the usual, activate the remote, enter the vehicle, start the vehicle and then turn On the radio..all was ok........ Good Luck.............. #7 · Mar 12, 2013 < > ^ * should work. All at once. Ok go longer 30-45 secs. The unit will reboot. Try again. If not... Dealer.. Warranty repair! #8 · Mar 13, 2013 Any updates? Did a second reboot attempt work? Leaving the car sitting magically make the problem go away? Dealer trip? Doesn't look like a classic 'bricked' unit indication. Hopefully the problem solved itself?? #9 · Mar 13, 2013 same thing happened to me, I tried to rest but no luck, had to get a whole new radio installed, then after they installed it I called Sirius to reactivate and they said they would reactivate evrything except my travel link and that the dealer had to call with some special code authorizing it....so look out for that Insert Quotes Post Reply
