As English wasn't his first language, he has long been fascinated by the ambiguities of words and phrases. He explores this with the use of symbols and metaphors in a fantastical and narrative manner. Reoccurring subjects include moths/butterflies, boats, trains, musical instruments, flowers, trees, umbrellas, etc. You can find his work in galleries around the country including Lark & Key Gallery where he co-owns with his wife.
