Error in meta information of pictures taken with org.linageos.snap (LOS 18.1, pioneer, H3113 and H4113)

Expected Behavior

Taking pictures with org.linageos.snap should be sharing with signal messenger app.

Current Behavior

If I make a picture with org.linageos.snap (2.02.072) and try it to share in the signal messenger app I see black thumbnails in in app gallery of signal. But if I delete all meta information of the picture I can share this picture without problems.

  • picture with meta information which not work (unscrambled) - sharing in signal not possible
  • picture with scrambled meta information which works fine - sharing possible with signal

The reason for report the issue here is a recommendation in xda forum with further information.

I try to edit the picture with exiftool like this: exiftool.exe "c:\Users\user\Downloads\IMG_20210607_135140.jpg" -Make=cam -o save.jpg

and get the following error: Warning: [minor] Entries in IFD0 were out of sequence. Fixed.

After this "fix" I can share the picture with signal messenger.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Take picture with device pioneer (H3113) and org.linageos.snap
  2. Open signal messenger (org.thoughtcrime.securesms 5.13.8) and try to share the taken picture
  3. You see black thumbnails like describe in github issue tracker
  4. Sharing is not possible

/device pioneer (H3113 and H4113) /version lineage-18.1 /date 2021-06-10 /kernel 4.4.205-g061f611 (no other kernel installed, default) /baseband 20190718_BY12O_Daily /mods Google Apps, F-Droid
