FAKE: SMS-message from subscriber Ukraine with the text “tell your story of war” is phishing

Information is being spread on social networks that SMS messages from subscriber Ukraine with the text “tell your story of war – the world must know the truth” are aimed at stealing personal data of Ukrainians.

However, this information is fake .

According to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainians receive messages with the text “tell your story of the war – the world must know the truth” as part of the government project “My War”.

The ministry emphasized that the invitation to join the project was sent to the mobile numbers of all subscribers. It is not spam or a way of collecting personal data.

The website of the #MyWar platform says that the project gives an opportunity to every Ukrainian who witnessed directly the brutal war of Russia against Ukraine to describe their story, present real facts and personal experiences so that citizens of all countries can see them and join the support of Ukraine with real actions.
