I want to thank everyone on this amazing forum for keeping me informed and up to date on all things X5 G05 during the long wait that I have had to collect my M50d - in total 6 months since placing my order mid-October. This is an incredible forum and X5 fan base and I have learned so much even to the point that the gentleman giving me the introduction in BMW Welt in Munich last Friday said I probably knew more than him about the car  Anyway as mentioned above last Friday my wait came to an end and I went off to BMW Welt in Munich to collect my new car. It was a great day and my entire family really enjoyed the experience. At 17:00 it was time and we walked down the flight of stairs to collect the new X5 M50d. All I can say is WOW - I am so amazed by the car and it brings a smile to my face each and every time I get to drive somewhere - and these last days I have been ringing everyone I know in order to have an excuse to drive them places  I have to get the 2000KM over and done with as soon as possible to be able to open up the full power after all..... easier said than done as the motor in the M50d is a beauty and every time I am driving I am finding it so hard to stick to the break-in best practice. Anyway I am also really happy with the configuration of Coffee Extended Merino and Fineline stripe and really it is fact that the pictures do make the coffee look much lighter than it is in real life. The leather dash and comfort seats are also amazing. I do have some slight issues with iDrive and the systems but noting major - unfortunately after driving about 1KM away from BMW Welt on Friday after collection I received my first error message (Chasis malfunction) but it says I am allowed to continue driving and I have a service appointment on Thursday to fix this. I am also thinking about asking for the system software to be updated to the latest version xx.37 but am wary as the software is running pretty good at the moment (on November software version) I am well aware that people out there waiting on their arrival dates are looking for all information and pictures they can find so I am attaching also a few pictures (large format sorry about that). Should be collecting it again tomorrow. I have a 1 series loaner during repairs which made me laugh - car is less than a week old with under 200 miles on the clock and they give me a 1 series as loaner  Anyway so long as they are finished up by tomorrow and all is OK I can live with it. Got an x3  Lol. After a chassis malfunction error. Everything would be fix. And you can enjoy your new ride |

Did they tell you what caused the error? |

Could be the country does not have one and other countries have a different number. I also bought mine in Germany and just took it back yesterday from the dealer (in Saar) and he told me there is no udate to be performed on the car. |

Although I would image the software is standardized across regions. Still as mentioned my iDrive is running fine. All functionality is good - no Apple Pay or heating issues with the wireless charging. Bluetooth connectivity top notch. Connected drive working fine. So I can’t complain and until I hear there is something I really need with newer software I am happy. |
