devnull ALCON, I have the front bumper off and mostly disassembled. I was surprised to find that the upper grill is not removable without permanent changes being made. Most of the pieces attached to the front bumper use either clips or screws. The upper grill is riveted in place. 72749 You can unclip it along the bottom but the top of the grill extends upwards under the top of the front bumper and is held by rivets observable where the bumper meets the engine bay. I'm considering drilling the rivets and replacing them with screws. I'll report back if I do. The bumper is still off the car if you want additional imagery. Slight amendment. You wouldn't see these rivets with the bumper on the car. 72750 Looking at the black "blobs" in this image, the top ones are can be seen with just the hood popped. The two bottom ones (in addition to others spread around the interior of the front bumper) hold the top grill piece in place. #3 · Aug 6, 2019 Good pictures. I've been meaning to remove the upper front grille for a look to see how easy it would be to mount something (lights) behind, and modify the grille. #4 · Sep 18, 2019 @devnull Great information. I too was considering trying to mount some lights behind the grill or remove the grill. Good to know that's more complicated than it should be. Maybe you could help me with any other photos of the inside behind the grill. I wondering how much space there is behind there. thanks! #5 · Sep 23, 2019 I hit a raccoon and busted my lower grill. This prompted me to go with the open lower grill look and I actually like it. 73213 #6 · Sep 23, 2019 That Alfa Romeo SZ Coupe though! Show more replies 1 Reply Insert Quotes Post Reply
