There is 12 months difference between X-T30 and X-H1 so we don't expect to see a huge technology difference between these two cameras but it would still give an advantage to younger X-T30, especially in sensor tech.

Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs. In this section, we are going to illustrate the Fujifilm X-T30 and Fujifilm X-H1 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Fujifilm X-T30 has external dimensions of 118 x 83 x 47 mm (4.65 x 3.27 x 1.85″) and weighs 383 g (0.84 lb / 13.51 oz) (including batteries). Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day. Fujifilm X-T30 is significantly lighter (290g ) than the Fujifilm X-H1 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.

Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Fujifilm X-T30 and Fujifilm X-H1 have the same Fujifilm X lens mount and APS-C sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.

Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the X-H1, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the X-T30.

LCD Screen Size and Features

Fujifilm X-T30 and Fujifilm X-H1's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.

Both cameras feature Tilting screens where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels.

Fujifilm X-T30 has a 26.0MP APS-C (23.5 x 15.6 mm ) sized X-Trans CMOS sensor and features X-Processor 4 processor. On the other hand, Fujifilm X-H1 has a 24.0MP APS-C (23.5 x 15.6 mm ) sized CMOS sensor and features X-Processor Pro processor.

Another similarity between these two cameras is that both Fujifilm X-H1 and Fujifilm X-T30 sensors lack anti-alias (Low-Pass) filters. Removing anti-alias filter increases the sharpness and level of detail but at the same time, it increases the chance of moiré occurring in certain scenes.

Below you can see the X-T30 and X-H1 sensor size comparison.

Fujifilm X-T30 vs Fujifilm X-H1 Sensor Size Comparison
Sensor Size and Resolution Comparison image of Fujifilm X-T30 and Fujifilm X-H1 Cameras

Fujifilm X-T30 and Fujifilm X-H1 have the same sensor sizes so they will provide same level of control over the depth of field when used with same focal length and aperture. On the other hand, since Fujifilm X-H1 has 8% larger pixel area (15.28µm2 vs 14.12µm2) compared to Fujifilm X-T30, it has larger pixel area to collect light hence potential to have less noise in low light / High ISO images.

The number of available lenses is a big deciding factor when choosing your interchangeable lens camera. Fujifilm X-T30 and Fujifilm X-H1 have the same Fujifilm X lens mount and currently there are 117 native lenses available for these cameras.

Another important factor is the availability of image stabilization. Fujifilm X-H1 has a big advantage in this regard because it has a sensor based image stabilization which means that all the lenses mounted to this body will be stabilized. X-H1's built-in Image stabilization system is effective for compensating vibration up to 5.5-stops according to CIPA standards. On the other hand, Fujifilm X-T30 doesn't have this feature so you have to buy a lens with optical stabilization feature. Currently there are 20 lenses for Fujifilm X mount with Optical Image Stabilization features.
