by Hans A. on 05/15/2025"G&G CM16 R8-L w/scope My only complaints are; that this is a long rifle and it's rated at less than 350 fps with .20g bb's. That's going to put it at around 250 or less with .40g. Also that the inner barrel is not full length, it falls quite short. The cylinder is different from my other G&G CM's, the air inlet port is larger. Hopefully this will aid in a compression upgrade to go along with a new, full length barrel. None of these issues affect the performance of this rifle out of the box and it is still fairly accurate with .25-.28g bb's. I just want more reach and some punch at a distance. I tested it with 7.4v and 11.1v and though it has slightly more punch and ROF with the 11.1v, it also gets the motor hot much faster. I wouldn't recommend running the 11v for long periods throughout the day. Switching to 7-9v for full auto games would be wise. I have had to do this with my other CM's, I didn't realize it was getting hot because I wear gloves. So far I have had good luck with this brand. They keep it simple and put it where it needs to be. The composite is good quality and so much easier to handle for long games and all day play. Plus the design makes it a solid, reliable performer from day one to years to come. The G&G CM line is, in my opinion, the best beginner rifles in the M class. To get this level from a fancy, more realistic style rifle you're going to have to go way up the price range. by Fred B. on 08/01/2023"I got this as my second gun and it shoots very well and I really like it. There are some things that could be better but I think they’re mostly just on this one, like the barrel and hand guard do not support each other and makes it so the outer barrel is a little more flexible, the inner barrel is also not very long and stops about 3 inches before the flash hider. But overall it is a ver good gun. by Trevor B. on 02/17/2023"Great AEG. This was my first electric gun and its amazing. It shoots good and its fairly accurate with .20s at 80 yards unless theres a lot of wind. It doesn't use a whole lot of battery so unless you are playing more than a few games you don't need to pack extra batteries. The mag it came with works great if you don't mind winding it up constantly. The sight is great. I wasn't expecting much for an optic that came with the gun but I wouldn't bother replacing it. I perfer it over a $200+ Bushnell optic and I would swap it on my ar15 if it were rated for 5.56. I haven't had any major problems with the gun. The mag release got loosened to the point it would barely work(may be because I'm left handed so I don't reload the typical way) but nothing a screwdriver couldn't fix. The latch on the charging handle also broke but I'm not too worried about a vanity piece.
