About the Watch in short. Inexpensive G-Shock-and professional Mudman series with special protection against dirt and dust. The buttons and the back of the watch received special protection against the ingress of small particles of dust and dirt into the case, thereby allowing the G-9000 to be used in the most severe and dirty conditions. Strength characteristics are complemented by the ability to work stably at low temperatures [up to -20 ° C]. The watch has two independent stopwatch for 100 hours each [one with the auto start function], which can work simultaneously. Double electroluminescent backlight illuminates the electronic windows and display. The duration of the backlight can be adjusted from 3 to 5 seconds. Basic functionality includes a timer, world clock, alarm, hourly beep and automatic calendar.

Timekeeping

Use the Timekeeping Mode to set and view the current time and date.The times displayed in the Timekeeping Mode and World Time Mode are linked. Because of this, make sure you select a Home Time zone before you set the time and date.

Stopwatches

Your watch has two stopwatch modes: Stopwatch Mode (ST1) and Stopwatch Mode (ST2). Both stopwatch modes let you measure elapsed time, split times, and two finishes. The Stopwatch Mode (ST1) includes Auto-Start.– A display range of the stopwatch is 999 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds.

Countdown Timer

The countdown timer can be set within a range of one minute to 24 hours. An alarm sounds when the countdown reaches zero. The countdown timer also has an auto-repeat feature and a progress beeper that signals the progress of the countdown.– All of the operations in this section are performed in the Countdown Timer Mode, which you enter by pressing (C).

Alarms

You can set up to five independent multi-function alarms with hour, minutes, month and day. When an alarm is turned on, the alarm tone sounds when the alarm time is reached. One of the alarms is a snooze alarm, while the other four are one-time alarms.You can also turn on an Hourly Time Signal that causes the watch to beep twice every hour on the hour.

Hollow case structure. Based on a realization that “shocks are not transmitted inside a bouncing rubber ball,” the structure was designed to let the module float inside the case, relieving shocks transmitted from outside. Today, the module’s shock resistance is realized through further technical innovations. But the revolutionary tough structure that gave G-SHOCK its origin began here.

All-directional covering. If the watch is dropped, the protruding bezel fully enclosing it absorbs the shock, protecting the buttons directly connected to the module and alleviating shocks from all directions. The bezel also guards the surface of the crystal. The band is curved stiffly at the point of connection with the case, moreover, enabling it to serve as a shock absorber and prevent direct shocks to the back of the case.

Protective cushioning of key parts. The crystal oscillator and other critical parts inside the module are guarded individually by cushioning material. Any strong shock to the watch causes immediate distortion of the cushioning inside the module, preventing contact failure and malfunction.
