G19X vs G45 Jump to Latest rangerhgm Comparing the 2, I see very minor dimension differences and the obvious color difference. I see on the Glock site the G19X has nPVD slide coating to prevent corrosion and the GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) What slide coating and barrel does the G45 have? I have 1 G19 gen3 and a G17 gen4 I thought I might want to try either a G19X or G45 and am just trying to understand what the differences are. I haven't been to the lgs to handle either of them yet....just starting to research. 1 - 20 of 62 Posts 1 1 of 4

I believe the only difference is the forward serrations on the G45.

To allow water and debris to drain from the firing pin channel after being submerged.

That cool color thing is subjective at best.

The 19 round mags were of interest as 20-rounds on tap for bump-in-the-night situations is advantageous. Maritime spring cups are nice as a stock item. Stock night sights are nice and useful for the role for which the pistol was purchased. Does the G45 also come with a couple of 19-round mags or standard 17-rounds?

However, I am not at all disappointed in my 19X! I love it! Firearm Gun Trigger Airsoft gun Gun accessory

One of my 19X's was modified to accept 5th gen mags, and changed to black, because I needed a black duty weapon, it was before the 45 was released. Performance wise, there really isn't any difference other than the 19X requires the use of 4th Gen or earlier magazines, or those base plates on 5th gen mags. They are both accurate and dead reliable. The 45 has front serrations, take em or leave em. Other than those two items which can have an effect on some shooters performance depending on their technique, the guns perform identically. I like both equally, and you can add most of the 19X's added equipment to the 45. It all depends on what you want, you can go wrong with either, and you will probably end up with both...like most of us...:) TXPO

Mine has only stopped three times so far, and one stop was due to WWB ammo an the other two were shooter error. The 19x lets off a little easier than other GLOCKs. It also shoots right to point of aim. I'd save up and get the 19x if it were me. 1 - 20 of 62 Posts 1 1 of 4
