Introduction

The emergence of new technologies has grown significantly in recent years, including blockchain technology and its application in various fields. Factors of penetration and expansion of blockchain in different domains include encryption capability, decentralization, immutability and transparency of data transmission. Due to the mentioned features, blockchain technology has gained many applications in the field of health. The strength of blockchain technology in data collection, security improvement, cost reduction, accuracy, privacy and data control of health information systems, is due to the complex and continuous encryption system of this technology. Blockchain reduces human error in the production and supply chain of healthcare tools and supplies due to the reduction of human involvement in data change. Combining this technology with other advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence can provide researchers with more valuable data to enhance the safety and productivity of the healthcare industry.
