G603 Vs. G703 Vs. G903 - Peripherals - Linus Tech Tips

I've been waiting to get a bluetooth mouse because I always find myself having a problem with the wire, but I've also really been hoping Logitech would release a wireless G502, but they unfortunately haven't.  So now I'm left with three options, the 603, 703, or 903. I'm heavily siding with the 603 for the significantly better battery life (although I'm not a fan of the AA batteries) -- especially if I switch into non-gaming mode (18 months in non-gaming, and 500 hours in gaming). The 603 is missing hyperscrolling (which is only in the 903), and it also doesn't look quite as good as the 703.

So from people who have owned any of the three (or the G403 wireless/not wireless), how do they compare in terms of ergonomics to the G502? And what is your experienced/real-world battery life of the three mice?

I use G403 wireless before switching to Mionix castor and my friend has g502 which i already tried cause i borrowed it for some reason.

I didnt own those three mice ( 603,703 and 903) so i am afraid i cant answer your question regarding battery life.

But imo G403 has better ergonomic than g502 and they are lighter or it maybe just because i have a very small hand cause G502 is a BIG mouse.

The battery life on the G403 wireless is okay it can survive for 2+ days with default lightning cause i only use my pc for 6-10 hours/day.

I assume that u want the G502 because of the free scroll wheel feature?

I dont think logitech will make G502 wireless because it will likely destroyed the G903 cause they use the same sensor and almost have the same feature only the G903 is ambidextrous.

In fact 403,502,703 and 903 use the same PWM3366 sensor.

The G603 however use a new hero ( High Efficiency Rating Optical ) sensor which i dont know how well it perform but they said its going to perform as good as PWM3366 only with better efficiency so yeah its not from pixart but why they choose such a stupid name for a sensor? idk

I think the 403 wireless is basically a 703.

I want the 502 because I like the ergonomics of it (although I haven't used the 403/603/703/903, but I do have bigger hands) but I also really do want hyperscrolling not that I use it often, but I've come to the same conclusion, which is why I'm considering making the jump now. Plus the 603 with it's supposed 500 hour/18 months per battery sounds perfect -- although that's theoretically and the sensor is also theoretically very similar.

Yeah, I don't see myself spending $100 on the mat, so realistically the G603 is the best option for me.....but I don't know, I've been going back and forth between it and just keeping my G502 since I'm not really happy with the 603. Ergonomics don't LOOK as good (I haven't tried it, so it may not be the case), it's missing the index finger buttons that I like, it doesn't have the sniper button (which I find to be in an incredibly useful position for remapping), it has plastic sides instead of rubberized sides, it lacks hyperscrolling, it's grey (instead of black), and the buttons aren't separate (which again, may not be an issue if I try it). But everything together negate the benefits of wireless to the point that I don't think it's worth spending $60~; if I didn't have my G502, then it would be a different story and I'd probably go for the 603.
