Ok, first off, pc spec ....Win7 Home Premium 64bitIntel i7 4710HQ 16Gb ddr5 ramNvidia 850 2Gb Video CardCorsair M500 Solid State Hard Drive For Xmas I was given the retail box set of thehunter call of the wild, and as a veteran player of 7 years to thehunter classic I couldnt wait to install and play this game. Sadly, despite my best efforts, installed and uninstalled box set, installed directly from steam, came to forums went over all the posts including the pinned post regarding this issue and even despite having spent 2 days going over every one of those tips on the pinned post, I still can not get this game to launh. I contacted support, sent in the dxdiag file and I get a response back saying my laptop doesnt appear to have a dedicated video card and tells me that unfortunately I probably wont be able to run the game with an onboard video card and closes the support ticket. Since they closed the support ticket, I figure come here and see what you guys think? I do have thehunter call of the wild set in my nvidia control panel to run only on the nvidia processor, not the onboard intel processor ... but from what supports saying, Im not using it, Maybe this is why the games not running for me? If so, how do I fix it? Where is it saying 4gb of VRAM for minimum? Im seeing 1gb for minimum ... this would certainly make a big difference and would be a good reason its not even launching. Believe it or not, but Im actually considering buying a ps4 pro with 1tb hd, pair of controllers and docking station JUST so I can finally play this game lol. Comparison is not just about Vram. If you look at the link PicSoul posted, the GTX 660 is 64% better than GTX 850m. I contacted support and they're answer was my pc only has an intel graphics card when I know for a fact that I have a GTX850m as well. Im thinking the game is trying to launch through my built in intel graphics card, and not my Nvidia GTX850M ... and I know some people said this card is not sufficient enough to launch the game, but I should at the very least be able to launch the game to menu, but Im not. It is far too weak to run 1080p, which if memory serves is what COTW defaults to.
