  3. Ningguang or Diluc?

Well, the other user I was replying to was saying C0 Ningguang wasn't even in the tier list while your image shows C0 Ning as one of the top Main DPS characters for the 4* rarity, so you're in effect still agreeing with me (4* characters also have a major advantage over 5*'s in the constellation department, meaning 4*'s can still age/progress like fine wine for most players).
I wasn't really trying to agree or disagree... but if we're going to pick tier lists, we might as well pick an accurate one :)

Not "every way possible".
I guess because Diluc can't inflict Cryo#1 Cactushttps://youtu.be/4_R0_nL5zDE REALLY SOON, NOT SOON ENOUGH
shauneepeak 3 years ago#43Ning is top tier at higher constellation but C0 vs C0 isn't even a question. Diluc all the way, Ning really needs at least C1 to be viable.C6 Ning is an absolute monster though and easily surpasses Diluc in single target fights.

Assuming the game8.co tier list you posted is going to continue to be updated over time then Ningguang is most likely gonna be bumped up in the near future after the Geo buffs roll out (which will be very significant for Ningguang and other Geo characters, considering Ning for example already has one of the game's highest burst damage ratios and on a low 40 energy cost as is), so eventually even your source's tier list is probably not gonna look too dissimilar from the one I posted when it comes to Ningguang. The following comment was said on Ningguang in another sheet from the same document I posted:"Very high multiplier on her Burst and decent auto combos make Ningguang a solid Main DPS. Could be moved up if Geo Resonance is changed"A buff to the Geo team Elemental Resonance is incidentally one of the buffs that are planned and that are currently being beta tested.
katieelizabeth 3 years ago#45Ningg still needs constellations. They help her too much. And that game8 tier is updated constantly. Its the best one i know of. They also have a constellation tier list but diluc still places higher at c0. I think they are right.

I can't trust any tier list that uses SS and doesn't actually have a character worth SS power in that slot.SS tier is a real tier but it's reserved for a specific type of character, one who surpasses the entire rest of the roster in every possible way in such a wide margin that its actually renders not using that character unviable in terms of trying to be competitive or even semi decent at the game in question Ganyu isn't that type of character because all she does in damage and the damage isn't even as high as the other actual damage characters due to literal game mechanics. If she was Pyro she'd be #2 easy over Diluc but she isn't, she lacks any form of actual CC that other characters possess (VENTI), she lacks any real power to her attacks that isnt her charge attack, she doesn't have any self sustain, doesn't provide the team with any form of universal buff (20% Cryo while in the Ult radius isn't that great considering it's niche)She isn't SS quality by a long shot. She's a solid A no question but S? She lacks the utility (or straight up balls to the walls damage) to be S let alone what SS even isI also find it humorous that Klee is S despite being able to output her Ults damage in half the time from pure Autos, God forbid if she has her Ult active as well, and not considered S tier for AoE damage despite throwing actual bombs whose hitboxes are huge.......Yet Diluc has S tier AoE#1 Cactushttps://youtu.be/4_R0_nL5zDE REALLY SOON, NOT SOON ENOUGH
HighVoltage103 3 years ago#47All this talk about Ningguang and she's the only 4 star I never pulled yet. On the other hand, Diluc was the first 5 star I ever pulled. Coincidence?I have a stalker on here who downvotes everything I put out. It needs to end.

Even more importantly: Ningguang needs other team members who are good at dealing area of effect damage and/or crowd control, since the relative lack of AoE damage is C0 Ningguang's biggest weakness although you can compensate if you for example have another unit who can bunch enemies together so C0 Ning can drop her Jade Screen skill on top of them for quick and easy sizeable damage and energy generation; Ning's burst is also efficient in the sense that once an enemy is taken out the remaining rock missiles will seek to lock on to nearby targets, but as you may have noticed on the game8.co tier list including Constellations (which isn't too different from the one I posted when it comes to Ning's standing), the constellation that Ningguang is typically recommended to get is her first constellation, since it turns her normal attacks into AoE attacks:https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/6/9/3/AAdJrwAABYyt.jpg Ningguang's second constellation further expands her ability to spam her Jade Screen skill to new levels (and is a great addition if you can get it), but even at C0 the base Ningguang still possesses some of the highest ratios in the game vs individual targets and together with the corresponding Geo team resonance she is still objectively going to get quite a substantial buff after the new Geo changes are implemented. In terms of constellations Ningguang is also generally ahead of other characters of the same rarity level: Ning is rated based on simply her first constellation as opposed to most other characters of her same 4* rarity, meaning Ningguang is perhaps the most economical Main DPS in the game so far.EX_Bortthog posted...

Ganyu's burst alone can cause orders of magnitude more damage compared to Diluc (with Diluc in this case being used as the pre-Ganyu standard for Main DPS output) depending on the number of enemies faced and if Ganyu's burst was combined with Venti's burst:https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/6/9/4/AAdJrwAABYyu.jpg A comparison between Ganyu and Diluc was made on the following sheet:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pYDZpKgnF-8aRdfKfD_pYRnKKAabgboO1WuxjPmcZO8/edit#gid=1629192811Ganyu not being Pyro is actually the reason why her damage ceiling has substantially surpassed that of Diluc's (while Ganyu is using her Melt setup), and the reason being that while Pyro has a higher base multiplier for melt than Cryo (perfect for burst damage), this also results in the Cryo that was applied to the enemy to be quickly consumed, greatly reducing spammability and damage over time from the elemental reaction with the stronger base multiplier.Ganyu meanwhile can repeatedly Melt the enemy, including more than twice depending on the proportions of Pyro units that were applied to the enemy and even with her insane multi-hit charged attack; for more info I recommend checking out the "Reactions and Units" sections of the following sheet (Ganyu applies "weak" Cryo, which is ideal for a Main DPS due to elemental reaction spam):https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pYDZpKgnF-8aRdfKfD_pYRnKKAabgboO1WuxjPmcZO8/edit#gid=687545622When it comes to crowd control, Ganyu provides an extreme basis for Freeze spam, which can also allow a high CRIT setup strategy together with the new Blizzard Strayer artifact sets (that can supply gratuitous amounts of CRIT Rate). For example, simply popping Ganyu's burst can turn Mona or Tartaglia into instant Freeze death machines (even frozen enemies with physical shields such as Shielded Mitachurls are helpless and can't defend themselves while they're frozen so you can simply go to their HP directly):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNYu5lfyn0IIn the above video Ganyu is using one of the weakest 4* bows. The Frozen elemental reaction is going to become a lot more common in the future, for example with the upcoming Ayaka who I think will also make heavy use of it.
