Xingqiu's F2P options are limited to Energy Recharge swords since he still has a rather high Energy cost even if he can create a lot of Particles with his Skill. For Dendro teams, Sapwood Blade does better but for general use, Skyrider Sword is the best to use.

Xingqiu's rotation in the team is the same each rotation unless he doesn't have his Elemental Burst available. After his Elemental Skill is used, absorb the Particles before using his Burst. Since he generates a lot of Particles, he can easily max out his Energy if he has good Energy Recharge and holds Favonius Sword or Sacrificial Sword.

Amazing Hydro Sub-DPS for Damage and Reactions
Xingqiu is one of the best Hydro Sub-DPS characters in Genshin Impact. His Elemental Burst allows him to apply Hydro easily while Off-Field and can be used in multiple teams.
High Energy Cost in Burst But Generates Enough Particles with Certain Weapons
Similar to Xiangling, Xingqiu has a high Energy cost of 80. However, it is easy to mitigate this with the Emblem Of Severed Fate set and Favonius Sword or Sacrificial Sword. Favonius Sword is generally better compared to Sacrificial Sword since it takes less time.
Use Elemental Skill for Increasing Interruption RES and Decreasing Damage Taken
Xingqiu's Elemental Skill summons a sword aura that floats around the active character. It can increase the character's interruption resistance and decrease the damage taken. The damage reduction buff relies on stacks, where 1 hit taken consumes 1 stack.

A Hydro Sub-DPS Great For Applying Hydro
Xingqiu is a Hydro Sub-DPS that is great at applying Hydro and providing defensive buffs for the team. His Elemental Burst summons Swords that can do a coordinated attack with the On-Field character's Normal Attacks.
Use Elemental Skill For Interruption Res And Damage Reduction Buff
Xingqiu's Elemental Skill creates a Sword Aura that floats around the character. It has an initial value of 3 Swords, increased by 1 with his Constellation 1. This sword aura buffs the active character with increased Interruption RES and a Damage Taken Reduction buff. The max value the reduction buff has is 24%.
Use Elemental Burst For Off-Field Hydro Attacks
Xingqiu's Elemental Burst creates a Sword Rain that also floats around the character. It shares the same value of Swords created with his Skill. This Sword Rain activates with the active character's Normal Attacks, causing it to do 3-4 consecutive Hydro attacks after the Normal Attack.

C6 Is Ideal For Every Use-Case
At C0, Xingqiu is already a very capable off-field Hydro support character whose contributions to a team only get better with his constellations. His C6 will be his best constellation overall since it greatly increases Xingqiu's damage and Hydro application with his Burst due to the additional sword rain attack while also lowering his Energy Recharge requirements due to the Energy refund Xinqiu gets after every 3rd sword rain attack.
If you cannot get his C6, his C2 is a viable stopping point since it extends the duration of his Burst and reduces the Hydro RES of enemies damaged by a sword rain attack. This improves his value as a sub-DPS unit and as a support with other Hydro characters. C2's effect is very synergistic with C6, further giving a reason to get his C6 if you have the means to do so.
Beyond C2, his C3 can be another viable stopping point due to the added levels to his Burst, which is again, made better with the activation of his C6. With this in mind, it can be said that Xinqiu's C6 is valuable not just because of its effect, but by virtue of being a strong compliment to his best early constellations. However, not getting any of his constellations isn't completely disheartening, since he will still be very viable in his select teams even at C0.
