Zhongli has one of the strongest shields in-game. Investing in Zhongli's shield is the best way to build Zhongli. Since his shield increases with HP, using HP weapons like Black Tassel and for additional buff for the team, Tenacity Of the Millelith is recommended.

Zhongli does not need much Energy Recharge because his shield comes from Elemental Skill but it does help for additional damage or for more consistent shield if you have Constellation 2.

2nd	Staff of Homa	CRIT DMG 66.2% (Lvl. 90) - Crit DMG sub-stat may not be as important, but it's good to have for even just a bit more damage - Weapon skill gives 20% HP buff - Good for those that want some added damage along with shield HP

A Shield Support for Any Team

Zhongli is a Shield support character that can fit in any team. His shield is currently the best shield in the game. It also comes with the added benefit of universal RES shred, allowing for any DPS to be able to use this debuff to their benefit.

Things Zhongli Can Do
★ Create a shield that will not break easily ★ Debuff the damage RES of enemies ★ Use Burst to petrify enemies for crowd control ★ Create a monolith that can be used for exploration ★ Mine ores with hold E. Skill

Hold E. Skill to Create a Shield and Debuff Enemies

When holding his E. Skill, Zhongli will create a Shield and shreds the damage RES of enemies in a small AoE. Along with that, he also creates a Monolith Geo construct that deals Geo DMG every few seconds.

Use E. Burst to Petrify Non-Boss Enemies

The Elemental Burst of Zhongli smashes down a Meteor on enemies and applies a unique status effect, Petrification. Zhongli is the only known character that can apply this effect. Petrification stops enemies from moving during its duration, allowing for DPS characters to deal damage in this time period. Petrification can only be used on non-boss enemies!

E. Skill can Create a Monolith Good for Exploration

Both tap E. Skill and hold E. Skill can summon a Monolith that can be used for exploration purposes. It is best used when reaching a higher altitude.

Hold E. Skill can Mine Ores

His E. Skill also has another usage! It can mine any ores in the near vicinity. Along with passive effect of Ningguang, Zhongli can make your mining needs much more easier. Although the cooldown for hold E. skill makes it less efficient than what other characters can do for mining.

A Spendthrift With No Mora to His Name

Zhongli has no sense of money due to many factors. Childe and Hu Tao often end up paying for his debts. It was up to a point that even Paimon asked why did he not set some Mora aside for his new identity after his retirement.

The Former Geo Archon
