"Liberate the South!" was the national anthem of the Việt Cộng from 1969 until the reunification in 1976, and briefly the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam from 1975. The lyrics were written by Huỳnh Văn Tiểng and Mai Văn Bộ, and the music was composed Vietnamese communist Lưu Hữu Phước in July 1961.[1]

Unofficial Japanese version[]

The song has also been performed in Japanese, under the title "南ベトナムを解放しよう" (Minami-Betonamu o Kaihō Shiyō). It was written by Akiko Seki.[2][3][4]
