You will enjoy the upgraded features of unlimited data at 6Mbps and 6GB hotspot data upon your next renewal cycle.

What are GX12 and GX30?

GX12 and GX30 are Prepaid subscription services for data on your mobile phone. GX12 and GX30 are valid for 7 days and 30 days respectively, and your Prepaid line must remain active in order for you to enjoy this plan. GX12 comes with Unlimited Data at 3Mbps, Unlimited Calls to all networks and Free 1GB Hotspot Data. Meanwhile, GX30 comes with Unlimited Data at 6Mbps and free 6GB Hotspot Data.

What can I use the Unlimited Data on GX30 and GX12 for?

You can use your Unlimited Data for all types of usage on your smartphone, including web browsing; social media; video and streaming services like Twitch; music streaming services like Joox, Spotify and Apple Music; e-mail and much more.

What can I use the Unlimited Calls on GX12 for?

You can use your Unlimited Calls for local calls to all mobile networks.

Are the Unlimited Calls that come with GX12 available for overseas usage?

No. All Unlimited Calls are available for domestic usage only. Standard IDD rates and roaming charges apply.

Who can activate GX12 and GX30?

All U Mobile Prepaid users may subscribe to this plan.

On what devices can I use the GX12 and GX30 Data plans?

The GX12 and GX30 Data plans are designed for smartphone use only.

Am I allowed to share my Unlimited Data with other devices via mobile hotspot?

The Unlimited Data is meant for personal use on your smartphone. However, you also have free additional mobile hotspot quota that you can use to share data with other devices:

• 1GB for GX12
• 6GB for GX30

All mobile hotspot usage will be deducted from this allocated quota.

What happens when I finish my mobile hotspot quota?

You may continue to use your mobile hotspot at a reduced speed of up to 64kbps.

Is there a data quota cap for this plan?

There is no data quota cap for any of our Giler Unlimited plans.

How do I activate GX12 or GX30?

You can activate GX12 or GX30 via the following channels:

 

1. MyUMobile App

• Step 1: Launch the MyUMobile App
• Step 2: Select “Add-Ons”
• Step 3: Then select “Daily & Weekly” for GX12 or “Monthly” for GX30

 

2. UMB

• Step 1: Dial *118#
• Step 2: Select the Giler Unlimited Plan you desire
• Step 3: Confirm your subscription

 

Please ensure you have a balance of RM12 or RM30 in order to successfully activate GX12 and GX30 respectively.

What is the validity of this plan? How do I calculate the subscription and renewal period?

GX12 is valid for 7 days and GX30 is valid for 30 days. Your subscription will be renewed automatically after 7 days for GX12, and after 30 days for GX30, as long as you have enough balance in your Prepaid account.

 

For example, if you subscribed to GX12 at 8.53pm on 12 November, your subscription will be renewed at 8.53pm on 19 November.

Will I receive an SMS reminder before my GX12 or GX30 subscription is due for auto-renewal?

You will receive a friendly reminder (SMS) two days & a day prior to your auto-renewal date.

Will I be notified of my successful or failed GX12/GX30 auto-renewal?

Yes. You will receive an SMS notification on your subscription status.

What happens if my GX12 or GX30 plan fails to auto-renew?

If your subscription failed to automatically renew, you might have insufficient balance, or your account might be in a passive period. The system will try to renew the subscription again on the following day.

Can I disable auto-renewal for this subscription service?

You may disable the auto-renewal service through UMB by dialling *118#

Can I subscribe to GX12 or GX30 during a passive period?

No, you will not be able to subscribe to GX12 or GX30 during a passive period.

Will my GX12 or GX30 plan auto-renew when I am in a passive period?

No, your GX12 or GX30 plan will not be auto-renewed during a passive period.

What will happen to my unused hotspot quota balance if the auto-renewal fails at first and then succeeds on its second attempt?

Any unused hotspot quota balance will be removed and not rolled over to the new subscription.

What happens to my unused hotspot quota after a successful renewal?

Any unused hotspot quota will be forfeited upon the next successful renewal, and will not be rolled over.

What happens if the auto-renewal fails on its second attempt?

You will be automatically unsubscribed from GX12 or GX30 and any unused hotspot quota balance will be forfeited.

Is there a limit to how many times I can activate GX12 or GX30?

No, there is no limit to the number of times you can activate GX12 and GX30.

How can I get additional hotspot quota on top of my monthly allocations?

You can subscribe to the Hotspot 5GB (RM5/5 Days), which is valid for 5 days, at only RM5. 

Can I subscribe to multiple Hotspot 5GB (RM5/5 Days) at the same time?

No. You have to wait until your current Hotspot 5GB (RM5/5 Days) quota or validity is finished before you can subscribe to the next one. This means that you can't subscribe to more than one Hotspot 5GB (RM5/5 Days) at the same time.

What happens to the quota and validity of my Hotspot 5GB (RM5/5 Days) when I change to other Add-Ons or unsubscribe from GX12 or GX30?

The remaining quota and validity of the Hotspot 5GB (RM5/5 Days) will be removed, and the unutilised quota and validity will not be refunded.

You can subscribe to the Hotspot via the following channels:

Yes, you can still subscribe to the standard Booster. However, please note that the validity period for the Booster will start from the time that you successfully subscribe to it.
