GIVE AND TAKE

Nghĩa đen:

Sự cho đi và nhận lại (give and take)

Đây là danh từ ghép.

Nghĩa rộng:

Sự nhượng bộ lẫn nhau (the practice of making mutual concessions) – tức là biết chấp nhận ý kiến của người khác, bỏ bớt đi ý kiến của mình.

Cũng có nghĩa là thương lượng với nhau, bàn bạc với nhau (bargaining, negotiation, discussion)

Tiếng Việt có cách nói tương tự:

Nhượng bộ lẫn nhau, có đi có lại, nhường nhịn lẫn nhau; thảo luận, thương lượng
