Lifted right out. You might be safer doing a search here and on the MBWorld R230 forum than following my 'faulty memory'!!! #3 · Jun 25, 2015 that is correct, you push in, to rlease it, then take it out; it has tab that bite on the bumper lip... best thing to do is look up ebay listing for the same grill, and observe how and where the tabs are located... so you know where exactly to push, to release it from the bumper #4 · Jul 10, 2015 Thanks guys #5 · Aug 26, 2015 Thanks to all those posting previous responses. I am having an issue similar to member rodwilk. Trying to remove the front grill from a 2007 SL550 with distronic option. I have viewed images where the two grill clips are located at bottom and either side, removed the 4 bolts from the top of the grill, but the grill refuses to release from the its grip to the top of the bumper. I have also use a little WD40 along the low lip of the grill to help things along without any positive results. It seems as if I am using more force than what should be required at the bottom of grill in order to push-in and remove it. Has anyone had a similar issue that wasn't resolved by advice/suggestions from previous members posted above? 0 Reply #6 · Aug 26, 2015 Twisting turning motion, while pulling up... push the bottom in, toward the radiator, to release the tabs at the bottom, while pulling the top away from the car toward you... #7 · Aug 27, 2015 Thank you bayhas. I'll give that a try today. #8 · Aug 30, 2015 Thanks Again bayhas, The twisting, turning and pulling at the same time did the trick and the grill released its grip on the front bumper Insert Quotes Post Reply
