IMHO my 2007 C70 is an absolutly beautiful car. The one area that does not really appeal to me is the grille. Has anyone ever replaced the grille with aftermarket? Has anyone reworked the grille in any way? Is the grille a easy removal item or more trouble than it is worth? does this job require the removal of the front bumper cover/facia? While it has near identical dimensions to C30/S40 grilles of the pre-facelift era the pins are all off and the grilles aren't actually compatible. The simplest thing you can do is remove the badge from your grille and replace with a larger one. #3 · Jun 29, 2020 its easy to remove the grill. imho the best thing to do is, paint it black. Just how easy is the grille removal? Four or five bolts and I'm on it asap. Removal of bumper trim/facia and it's a pass. I just checked on the back of my extra S40 grill ( same as C70) and there are clips you can push down as you pull grill out. 4 on top, 4 on bottom and 2 at the sides. Amazing that I can find this look in a direct replacement for the '98-'04 MYs and also the c70 retractable car after the re-design but not for the '06 to the re-design. 0 Reply #17 · Aug 21, 2020 Gentleman at the salvage yard accepted my $35 +$10 shipping so I do have a very acceptable spare grille (not bumper). Keep or sell. Jury is still out. Bought some cheap Chinese Black mesh grille material but have not had good luck getting it to fit correctly. Insert Quotes Post Reply
