The 960 is probably slightly better performance wise but much better power consumption wise. Not worth the upgrade at all imo unless you can sell your 660ti for a decent price.

The 660ti can already run all games at high settings at 1080...and the 960 can do the same thing.(ok,it can also run them at ultra, but still, not worth it).

If you go above 1080p...then yes, an 960 would be worth it.But who the heck gets an 960 for 1440p?It can't handle it.

    So...nope

    That's why I still own a 560.

Why not get a second 660ti instead. I would say the upgrade to a 960 is worth it but only if you intend to keep a single card config. Otherwise 2 x 660ti would be an excellent upgrade path.

@vembutech: The 660 isn't the card the OP asked about. The 660 Ti is notably (if not significantly) better than the 660. http://www.pc-specs.com/gpu/comparison-versus/2436/1777/geforce-gtx-960-2gb-vs-geforce-gtx-660-ti-evga-ftw-edition

Your looking at about a 21% increase in performance over a 660 Ti to a non-reference 960. If you get a reference 960, closer to 14% increase:

I was waiting with my 660 Ti for the 960's specs to be revealed and I've decided I'm either going to:

    1) get a 970,

    2) wait for a 960 Ti, or

    3) wait for the next generation.

The 960's initial offering provides only what I already have with my 660 Ti: 60 FPS at 1920x1080 in most of my (recent and/or heavily modded) games at high-ultra settings. If I'm going to upgrade, I want to upgrade to x1440/120 FPS (and ideally, 21:9). Considering I prefer the mini-ITX form factor, that means SLI is out... so it's 970 or wait... unless a 960 Ti comes out and is at least 50% better than the 960.But that is very, very unlikely.FWIW: If you're going to compare these cards, do so on the 'actual experience' level.
