MAY I BRING A GUEST?

Yes, members are welcome to bring guests for an additional fee. The daily rates are as follows:

• $20 per out-of-town adult guest. In-town guests receive 7 days free.
• $10 per child (ages 3-13)
• Free for children ages 2 and under

We also offer a Family Household Guest Pass for $45 per day, which covers two adults (18+) and any children living in the same household.

Additionally, we offer a monthly guest member add-on. For $9.99 per month, you can bring one guest each time you visit the J.

CAN CHILDREN USE THE WELLNESS, FITNESS & SPORTS FACILITY?

We offer supervised classes for youth in our Wellness, Fitness & Sports department. Ages 14 and older may use the fitness center independently. For ages 10-13, we offer TUF-TEENS UNDERSTANDING FITNESS, a one-time orientation on cardio and fitness equipment usage. After passing, they receive a TUF teen wristband. Children 10 and older can use the pool and gymnasium unaccompanied, but an adult must be on-site.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE JCC IS CLOSED OR CLOSING EARLY DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER?

WHAT ARE MY MEMBERSHIP DUES USED TOWARD?

Your membership dues support the operating budget of the JCC. The JCC pays a substantial amount in credit card processing fees each month. Help us by paying directly through your bank. The process is simple and convenient with our member portal. Please login to your account to add/edit payment types.

WILL OTHER JCCS HONOR MY MEMBERSHIP?

Many JCCs will honor your valid JCC membership if you travel outside the Buffalo area. Please check with the JCC you would like to visit to inquire about their reciprocity policy. We extend the same courtesy to our out-of-town guests.

IS MEMBERSHIP VALID AT BOTH FACILITIES?

Absolutely! Many members who live in the suburbs and work in the city utilize both facilities.

IS THE ENTIRE FACILITY AVAILABLE TO ME AS A MEMBER?

Members enjoy full access to both of our locations with fitness centers, heated pools, group exercise rooms, and so much more. Access to some areas may be restricted to participants, such as our Early Childhood Centers. One-on-one instruction or services, such as personal training or massage therapy, are available for an additional fee. Camp, Early Childhood Center programs, and after-school care also have additional charges that vary.

MUST WE BE MEMBERS TO ENROLL IN PRESCHOOL OR CAMP OR AFTER-SCHOOL CARE?

While it's not required, we strongly encourage membership for several reasons. First, members receive discounted rates for our programs. Second, the JCC is a member-owned community that fosters a family-friendly atmosphere. We believe it's wonderful when parents have the opportunity to enjoy a workout before or after work. Additionally, our Cultural Arts programming, special events, meals at the exceptional Myers Family Tel Aviv Café, swims in our pools, and numerous other programs greatly enrich the experiences of our families.

WHAT IF I CAN’T AFFORD THE FULL MEMBERSHIP CHARGES?

Since our inception over 75 years ago, the JCC has provided financial assistance to deserving individuals and families. An anonymous financial aid committee reviews tax documents and other evidence of need and offers assistance to the extent possible. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM.

The fob functions as an electronic "key" for accessing the building. Each fob is uniquely encoded. To enter, simply place your fob on the reader; it will be electronically verified, and the door will unlock immediately.

We have video cameras at the entrance of both JCC locations. These cameras are integrated with the intercom system, allowing Member Services Staff to see who is at the door seeking entry.

To call the elevator to the lobby, place your fob on the scanner and press the button for your desired floor. Once the elevator arrives at the lobby, you may enter and travel to any floor it serves.
