Good lamp for motorbike auxiliary lighting

I purchased this lamp to replace the blown lamp on my PIAA auxiliary lights on a 2005 BMW R1200GS. During the day these really help the bike be more visible. At night they really extend the reach of the OEM headlights.

Old bulbs appeared to be good as the filaments were in tact. Both bulbs would not light even when applying 12v directly. New bulbs work fine, no problems. Tried to fine bulbs locally and nothing but a hassle. One place could order them. Just get your parts via PIAA, shipped to the house in 3 days, save hassle, gas and guys who really do not know what you are talking about.
