Ha escrit assaig, llibres d'art, novel·la històrica, i més d'una vintena de novel·les infantils i juvenils traduïdes a quinze idiomes. Es va donar a conèixer amb Hachiko, el gos que esperava, amb el qual va rebre el 52è premi Josep M. Folch i Torres l'any 2014, i va ser seleccionat a White Ravens 2016, amb il·lustracions de la il·lustradora polonesa Zuzanna Celej.

Bom rapaz. Lamento que tenhas tido hoje de esperar um pouco mais, mas perdi o comboio.Hachiko abriu os olhos e nem queria acreditar no que estava à sua frente. Tinha esperado dez anos para se reencontrar com ele. Mas finalmente estava ali, na estação.O professor Eisaburo Ueno, como Hachiko já sabia, não se tinha esquecido dele. E ali estava ele, acabava de sair daquele comboio por que esperava há dez anos. Đọc Hachiko, cảm xúc ngày nào vẫn ùa về nguyên vẹn.Hachiko là câu chuyện có thật kể về chú chó tên Hachiko, đã sống cùng gia đình giáo sư Eisaburo Ueno kể từ khi chú chỉ là một chú cún bé con. Hằng ngày, Hachiko theo chân giáo sư đến nhà ga tiễn ông đi làm rồi lại đúng y như một chiếc đồng hồ, 5 giờ chiều lại chạy ra nhà ga đón ông nhà giáo già. Không những thế, giáo sư còn bên cạnh Hachiko trong những chuyến dạo phố, chỉ cho chú biết bao điều hay, lại tận tình giảng giải mọi thứ với Hachiko như với một đứa trẻ. Giáo sư cũng đưa Hachiko cùng đi du lịch nữa. Thế rồi chuỗi ngày hạnh phúc của Hachiko đột nhiên bị đánh cắp khi giáo sư đột quỵ ngay trên giảng đường, chẳng bao giờ trở về nơi bến tàu nữa. Hachiko thì vẫn kiên trì chờ đợi suốt 10 năm dài đằng đẵng. Dù bao nhiêu ngày tháng trôi qua, bao nhiêu chuyến tàu đến rồi đi, bao nhiêu người đã xuất hiện trong cuộc đời Hachiko thì đó vẫn không phải là người chú muốn gặp. Chú chó cứ đứng đó đợi tiếng gậy ba toong của giáo sư Ueno.Hachiko - Chú chó đợi chờ với mình là một quyển sách rất đẹp, đẹp cả về nội dung lẫn hình thức. Ở Việt Nam mình thấy khá ít sách bìa cứng, nếu có phần lớn lại là những cuốn sách dày, bán chạy đã lâu rồi được in thêm bản bìa cứng, vậy mà Hachiko đã được Kim Đồng trang trọng in bìa cứng ngay từ lần xuất bản đầu tiên, bìa mềm chỉ được in sau. Quyển sách dù là bìa cứng nhưng lại rất nhẹ, giấy xốp sờ vào rất đã tay. Thêm nữa, lúc tìm cuốn sách này trên Goodreads mình đã rất bất ngờ khi biết tác giả Lluis Prats vốn không phải là người Nhật mà là người Tây Ban Nha. Thế mà ông vẫn viết nên được một câu chuyện về Hachiko chạm tới lòng người như vậy. Bản dịch của Kim Đồng cũng rất mượt. Cũng không thể quên nói đến minh hoạ của Zuzanna Celej. Tranh của cô đã vẽ lên tất cả những gì mình tưởng tượng ra khi đọc sách.Quyển sách chỉ dày 152 trang, loáng cái đã đến lần thứ ba nghìn năm trăm linh ba mà Hachiko đến nhà ga Shibuya. Incluso se me hizo bastante repetitivo para ser un libro tan corto. Inspirată din fapte reale, cartea urmărește relația profundă dintre profesorul Ueno și câinele său, Hachiko, un Akita loial care devine simbolul devotamentului pur.Ceea ce mi-a plăcut cel mai mult la această carte este simplitatea emoției transmise. Stilul lui Lluís Prats e clar, direct, fără artificii inutile, ceea ce face ca emoția să ajungă la cititor în forma ei cea mai autentică. Nu e doar o poveste despre un câine, ci despre iubirea necondiționată, răbdare și despre cum animalele pot avea un suflet mai curat decât mulți oameni.În urmă cu câțiva ani am vizionat și ecranizarea și pot spune doar că este un film de vizionat măcar o dată în viață. Și cartea, de asemenea, ar trebui citită măcar o dată în viață! Ceva ce nu știam: statuia lui Hachiko a fost distrusă în timpul celui de-al Doilea Război Mondial și a fost reconstruită după ce acesta s-a încheiat. Nhưng chú vẫn luôn tự cắn đứt dây buộc để trở về nhà cũ,nơi đã từng đầy ắp những kỷ niệm của Hachiko và giáo sư.

Profile Image for Enny Larok.Enny Larok203 reviews3 followersFollowFollowDecember 26, 2015Que panzón de llorar por dios... soy muy débil para estas historias xDDBueno, a lo que voy es un libro super ágil de leer, con ilustraciones preciosas y una historia conmovedora... quien no conoce la historia de Hachiko?Un libro muy recomendado, además creo que leerlo ahora en Navidad, con el tema este de estar en familia y que hace frío y tal, hace que todavía te llegue más hondo. Prácticamente desde que me metí en el mundo del manga y el anime (aprendí a leer con mangas así que hace un huevo ya) he querido ir a Japón y uno de los objetivos más importantes que tengo cuando vaya es poder ver la estatua de Hachiko en Shibuya y poder hacerme una foto con el, pero me da que en cuanto la vea me echaré a llorar xDD madre mia... Leerlo, sobretodo si no sabéis su historia, Hachiko es increíble.
